One night for recommendations!
I ended up finding the Rated R's (yeah, I don't want comments on them, they're what I wanted and they're what I'm getting unless something horribly wrong happens tomorrow) in a 17x7".
I'm looking for recommendations on tires.
The qualifications:
1. It must be available in eithe 205/45/17 or 215/45/17.
2. It must have a speed rating of V or higher (V, Z, W, Y).
3. Must cost $150 or less per tire.
A summer only tire is fine. Right now I'm leaning towards the Parada Spec-2's (my first choice was the Falken Azenis Sports but they're not available in a size that I could use).
Anywho...I wanna hear your experiences and suggestions. Good, bad, mediocre...I wanna know! If I'm not convinced by 3:00pm tomorrow I'm just going to order the Paradas and call it a day. Let's hear your opinions, peopleseseseses.

Save some money.
Khumo Ecsta MX 712
205 is $85 on TireRack W-rated
Khumo Ecsta MX
215 is $115 on TireRack Y-rated
Khumo Ecsta MX 712
215 is $84 W-rated
For the price you can't beat them. I had them on my last car and they hold up great. They are not too bad in the rain and great in the dry.
Ok, now who wants to flame me for this suggestion.

falken azenis' are highly recommended for dry use only! they have no water tread on them! it is very dangerous to be driving around on azenis tires on wet pavement...but if you dont have to worry about water/rain and what not then they are bang for the buck! very sticky great for handling!
other then that another bang for the buck are those Kumho's up top.
good luck.

I had Ziex 502's on my ADR's. I wouldn't say I was disappointed, but I certainly wasn't impressed. As for the Azenis Sports, like I said, they don't make one in the sizes I'd need.
The Paradas are only about $50 more in total than the MX 712's. The ES100's are about the same (maybe $30 difference) and the Potenza Pole Position S-03's are expensive at about $160 a tire (slightly over my limit I know) but seem the best as far as grip goes. Paradas are still winning.

Well, personally I think they all look sweet. So far they're the best balance of price and wet/dry performance I've come across. Dry performance being my main concern for when I settle my bills and get summer wheels. (Effectively making the Rated R's my winter 17's )

Andrew, spend the extra $60+ish for S03's.
I will be ordering a set for myself in 215/40-17, $165 a tire on special at Tire Rack once my Sub Zeros arrive.
From what i hear, they are phenomenal!

They're still in 2nd due to my already overspending but desparately needing to get my old wheels off before i have problems (only 3 lugs tightened on the passenger side, no wheel lock key, bent but maybe fixable...no fun).
EDIT: BTW, thanks everyone. I appreciate the input.
