Which lowering springs for 09 GTS?
Hi, I got an 09 lancer gts cvt in july. i was wanting to put lowering springs in my car because i think it looks really aggresive and is different from all of the other gts in my area. anyways i was wondering which set would be better, the Tein S-Tech (2.1" Fr & 1.9" rear drop) or the Eibach Pro-Kit(1.2" Fr & 0.8" rear drop). They are pretty much the same price. which one would look better and be a better ride for my gts. thanks

Eibachs are. Tein (from what I understand) are from the older lancers that just happen to fit our cars. they weren't specifically made for 08+ lancers. Please correct me if i'm wrong.
From what I've read, Eibachs are a little less stiff than most other springs so if you want a near stock ride, then I'd go with them.
Personally, i'm going RRM.

however you are right about the Eibachs. They are generally less stiff of a ride and give the most "stock" feel while giving good performance

I've been reading a bunch of other threads and looking @ other sites for reviews and I think I'm gonna scratch them both and probably go with the RRM lowering springs. I haven't seen any complaints with those that I could find and they are same price as the eibach and tein. plus they are a 1.5" drop which is just between the other two. I think the 2" on the tein might be a little more then I want. If anybody has any comments or complaints about the rrm's please let me know. Thanks

We had to do extensive testing to get the ride height and rate just right including dynoing the stock shocks and taking the newly integrated bump stops into consideration (too low >1.1" makes too much contact with the bump stops, ouch!).
Out of all of our Lancers (including CVT), we have the Ride springs driving daily on the street, a lot of time on the track (with our adj. rear swaybar) and even some off-road Rally action.
