Tein Coilovers CY4A

aight so im still waiting for those damn teins..but lookin at their site they are still "in development" for ES and RalliArt...the only difference between the 2 coilovers from their chart is how much u can adjust and that the drop in the rear is slightly lower for the RalliArt..other than that the spring rates are the same for both the ES app and the RalliArt app...

MITSUBISHI LANCER
CY4A 08+ BASIC ES Now In Development
6/336
SY060-01225 5/280
SY050-01225 OEM -55
-2.2 -36
-1.4 -41
-1.6 ~ -68
-2.7 0
0 ~ -53
-2.1 -

MITSUBISHI LANCER RALLIART
CY4A 09+ BASIC RALLIART AWD Now In Development
6/336
SY060-01225 5/280
SY050-01225 OEM -55
-2.2 -45
-1.8 -49
-1.9 ~ -76
-3 -21
-0.8 ~ -67
-2.7 -

question - would we be better off with the Ralliart app for a more aggressive drop? or is there a down side to using the ralliart app over the one thats designed for the lancer?

1 more thing..i dont know why they didnt also put GTS next to the ES for the part listing...how much more does the 2.4 weigh than 2.0? if its like a couple hundred then i can see why...and thatd also justify for me gettin the ralliart coilovers because while searchin before i posted this thread someone mentioned ud be in the clear using the ralliart coils but the spring rates were designed with the "300+" pounds of that tranny it uses in mind..while im 5spd

i'd just stick w/ the 08 ES ones instead of ralliart they wud probably make the ralliart a bit more expensive as well just bcuz its for the ralliart and that u can adjust it a bit more

btw im waiting on the tein coils as well =P i wish they'd hurry it up

yea cuz the drop is so much..u can get aftermarket shocks from tirerack.com..also another possible issue is "coil slap" when the coils of the springs are hitting eachother...tein sells these rubber covers to stop the sounds....

but when combining the price of the tein springs, the camber bolts, and the after market shocks..ur better off investin a couple hundred bucks more for coilovers..it jus doesnt make sense
