struts?

anyone else w/ a lowered car having problems w/ their stock shocks? I got my car alligned and the oil changed yesterday at goodyear... and they said that my left rear strut is leaking..... I do have lowering springs... so I;m thinking that might have caused it... so, if I take it to a shop, my warrenty on it will prolly be voided, right? Guess I have to get some aftermarket shocks... grrr I don't want to spend money on dumb stuff like that right now!!!!!! anyone else having that problem?

Thumbs down

Read some other posts. It is still going to be some time before we get shocks and struts for the OZ Lancer.

Strange Kara...my left rear is also sagging really mildly and I'm not lowered. Hopefully this isn't a trend. I wouldn't call suspension mods dumb considering they'll make the overall feel of the car much better than power-adders will. Supposedly Tokico will be rolling out a full product lineup and Tein will be introducing one of their Basic class kits in addition to their Super Street and JIC's FLT's.

I'd say, "know what you're getting into when you lower or otherwise mod your car", but it's a little late for that now.

Hell, me and my car are a living example of that anyway so I guess there's no sense in the pot calling the kettle black.

See if you can buy a stock shock or two from someone who bought coilovers. It's a hell of a lot cheaper than the dealership.

My left rear is a good half inch lower than my right...lowered with Eibachs. I noticed that the first day I lowered it. Not horrible, but annoying.....

opaoto doesn't have Tokico's. They aren't made yet. They are only in design. I think they still have to prototype and manufacture and what not. I will offer them when they are released !

Tokico f'ed them up the first time, hopefully the second try will be better. The RalliArt struts were FAR too easy to blow out, so our only choice right now are the $$ Teins (they are nice though!!!). Rock is working on something a little cheaper.

The ones listed on OPTauto are the mirage ones that they assume will fit, which I don't think they do. I believe they are a bit too short.
