Replacing front struts on an 03 Lancer ES

replacing struts
I have some cracks in my struts and my mechanic says i will need new ones. I have found a couple online at parts geeks .com for 250 bucks. Was wondering if anyone knew any cheaper and bettter. Also my car has been lowered a couple inches and was wondering if i need a different set or will the stock set be fine. Please and thank you for the help
