Problem on braking!

Hi everyone, I have an '05 Lancer ES that has something going on when I brake. At anything from moderate to heavy braking, I'm getting a bad vibration from the right front side of the car. Some mild vibration at highway speed between 65-75 mph, but not too bad. I rotated the tires, that seemed to help with the vibration at highway speed, but not with the vibration on braking. Wheels and tires have been rebalanced, no change. Everything seems to be in order. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Kent

My guess is that you have uneven wear on your rotors and/or brake pads. I would start there. It would cause all the symptoms you described.

have your rotors checked to see how true they are, might have warped one.

/\ +50.

Warped rotor for sure. Take it off and take it down and have it resurfaced if you can.

I agree with the warped rotors idea. Depending on the mileage of your car though, I would just get new rotors and pads instead of machining them.

Some will say its pad buildup and some will say warpage.

Make sure you bed them in right. I trusted the stealer****'s word on that they bedded them in after they turned them. They warped again in ~1200 miles, and thats without any hard braking.

When I turned them again (just took the rotors to a place) and bedded mine in, I beat on them hard, and then let them cool for a good 10-15 min just cruising without using the brakes. I won't say the whole process because its sorta lengthy, just search bedding process.

I bought my car in the states, Then I got shipped to Germany. After a couple of runs on the auotbahn, my rotors warp. I had the same problem. It was from high temp. and hard braking, causing the rotor to warp. I bought some EBC rotors and hawk pads. It got better now I think I need some new steel brake lines. There on order, i will get back to you to. To give the full set up.
