You don't need a 7K limit for those mods, you're just scratching the surface with those mods. If you look at dynos, power drops off well before you hit the stock rev limiter, raising it is a waste of time since you won't want to run the car that high (why rev high if you're not making power up there?).

You need to be able to make power up top. NA this means a ported head and aggressive cam (with all the intake and exhaust mods obviously). Turbo you need a turbo that can keep breathing up top and the ability to actually flow that much air (so ported head and cam as with the NA setup). The big problem with a high RPM is flowing air.

If anybody has any of the original RRM reflashed ECU's and can extract the ROM from it using EcuFlash, I can dissect it and break the code for all the ROMs to raise the rev limit.

one answer: money. Actually two im married now too, but money is the biggest issue. I mean im still keeping the lancer, but i cant find a manual for the lancer, no one else in town does their own work for the lancer, there are more parts for the evo, and ive always wanted one i just happened to end up with the lancer lol. Anyways, tell me what kind of power gains yall have made in the lancer? i dont want to spend thousands for only a little bit of jump in power.

Well you've read my dyno thread, BlacksheepDJ experienced the same thing. I remember there being a member who spent a lot of money (way more than me) and gained relatively little, maybe 20 WHP. That was NA, turbo is a different story.

thanks, rrm said dont try to they havent found out how to increase the rev limit, and itll kill the engine if you can and do do it. yeah so im gonna try to get an evo. Any idea how to check for water damage? Im considering buying an evo from a guy on here, and i want to check it out before i do.

Now please close this thread lol.
