Turbo or Clutch/Flywheel etc. Part 1

What's up? I am the newbie on the block. But a fellow Lancer enthusiasts like all.
It's D-day for me and I finally saved up $2,500 to waste. But on what? Turbo, or a whole bunch of goodies? Opinions and informative feedback appreciated.

Option A) Turbo

Option B) RRM headers, Pulley, Magnaflow Cat converter, Magnaflow Cat-Back exhaust, Aluminum flywheel, Stainless Steel Clutchline, Racing Clutch, (should I get stage 1 or stage 2) and short shifter, maybe RRM throttle body

I would go with option part of option B and keep saving for option A. Get exhaust, etc. and then eventually get a turbo

i don't mean to sound like a jerk but, another thread on this....is it necessary

what are your intentions for the vehicle? don't let these guys decide for you. sleep on it and do whichever your gut feeling tells you too do.

No that's cool, all criticism is welcome. But truthully, lets face it, I am dealing with a 120hp car. Not excatly eyecatching. I don't want to do anything drastic to it. I am a daily driver and I just want the car to have some MMMFFF off the start.
But I am going to go with the headers, cat converter, cat back, flywheel, pulley, and maybe the throttle body.
But for this type of output, would I benefit better with a Stage 1 or a Stage 2 clutch?

save up all your pennies and do it right the first time. I would just put the 2500 away and keep saving.

what kind of turbo kit are you looking for with 2,500, a used or new one? You are probably going to be looking for a used one or a new non IC one if anything.
Read the other threads and make the decision on your own. All the info is here.

hey why don't you do custom turbo!!! 2500 is more than enough to make an 7psi intercooled turbo kit!!!

with 2500 keep adding and put it away in a high yeild constantly compounded interest account. that way the money works out a lil for u and u can buy a nice big turbo kit and a new exhaust job to go with it.

So what is the difference between the stage 1 and stage 2 clutch? Is the stage 2 specifically designed to handle more torque/horsepower and turbo equipped lancers, while the stage 1 handles non-turbo?

seriously you will regret blowing 3k for all those N/A parts when you only gain 15 CRANK hp from all them. you could get rrm stage 0 kit and get about 80 hp for the same price. so its your call man. go run some searchs or read turbo'ed car stories and see how damn awesome they are. go to race gathers race shops look at the turbo cars. and tell yourself to keep saving and not be like those loud *** civics with every N/A mods running 16-17's in 1/4 when they could have spend that money on turbo and running 14-15's.

i say save when time comes get exhaust & turbo

Question

OK, you veterans are making sense to the Newbie and it is all sinking in.
But I do have to replace my stock clutch since it is going out, and I am going to go with a stage 1 racing clutch from RRM, because it will last me longer. While I am at it, I might as well add the flywheel to compliment the clutch.
Is there anypoint in getting headers if I am also going to get the Cat converter, and the cat back exhaust?

You can also take your stock flywheel to a shop and have them make you a lightened flywheel for half the price. they shave down your stock flywheel to however heavy you want it and then balance it.

Stage 0 Turbo

What is the stage 0 turbo? About how much? Where can I get it, how much for installation?
Will I have any problems with emissions when it comes time for smog test? What kind of clutch is needed for that? Stage 1 or stage 2?
My stock clutch is slipping badly, and I am just saving as much money as I can and just trying to ride it for as long as I can. Help me out..........
I decided to go on a turbo....nothing big, but the stage 0 sounds good.
When I get my clutch, will I need a stage 1 or 2? Will a aluminum flywheel help any?
I am still getting the highflow cat and cat back exhaust before my turbo, or should I wait
All info, opinions, and criticism appreciated
