WOW Installed today!!! takes about an hour. I got held up on those stupid little ring things!! This thing is way worth the buy! If you like to fly through gears, its a must have. It is a little harder to shift, but as long as you have a pair you should love it. It is not that noticeable and I am not hitting my GF's knees every time I go into 5th! lol def 9 out of 10! If you have any questions please fill free to pm me!

Let's see some pics. For example, with shifter in 1st, 5th, and neutral.

Yes, but I wouldn't mind seeing more pics, maybe some from the side of 1st and 2nd to see the angle of the shift lever.

Yes, they're trickling in the door now and are being shipped first to those that have already placed orders over the phone, online, etc... Once the orders are fulfilled for those that have been patiently waiting, we'll start fulfilling the newer orders. There may be a small delay while we get caught up, but we'll get through the back-log as quick as we can.

So I just deleted 80 posts of chatting, joking and "when will mine get here?" whining.

If your post in this thread is not on-topic, don't even bother. Because I promise I will delete it and you will receive an infraction.

so jamie how exactly do you achieve the shorter throw. I have been thinking about this, mentally I have been thinking the old cantilever picture. All I can think of is to reduce the height of the knob to 'simulate' a shorter throw.

I would imagine if this is something in a competition car its not just going to be a simulation of an improvement.

Im guessing they moved the pivot point. Here is a diagram of both ways:

Every short shifter I've ever seen has moved the pivot point (as in LancerGTS's image). I'd bet Works did the same.

In essence, the diagram is correct. It's mainly the physics involved in changing the lengths of the lever arms. There is a balance to be achieved as if you had an extremely short top lever, with a much longer lower one (i.e. invert the above diagram), the distance that the knob would move would be super short, but the force/effort needed to make it move would be extremely difficult and impractical--not to mention the fact that it wouldn't even fit. We've also taken the steps to reposition the knob so that it's closer to the driver and steering wheel instead of the factory LHD/RHD compromise.

Cleaned up more OT posts. Do I need to start doling out infraction points for "causing a thread to go off-topic?" Will that actually send the message that you're not just supposed to post "I can't wait for mine to get here!" over and over?
