gear slipping?

well when i accelerate to pick up speed on the highway or anytime i push down on the gas hard really, the car feels like it just revs up and doesnt actually pick up any speed. i have to slowly push down on the pedal to pick up speed. its an 03 es auto with about 66k miles. i had the tranny fluid changed i think around 60k. just wondering if its something that could be serious

Was it taken to some place to do a "power flush" on it? I've never liked the idea of doing that, but first thing I'd check is the fluid level. Next thing would be to replace the tranny filter if it hadn't be done yet. I'm @ 86k miles in my auto; besides some odd noises sometimes when you change from P to R, I've had no issues. I've also done my own tranny fluid flushes to.

Hope you can figure it out soon, slipping isn't good at all!

torque converter may be slipping or the solenoid may be bad.
