speed sensor issue after 5spd swap
Ok. Digging through the circuit diagrams I came across what looks to be a difference in wiring on the harness for an auto vs. manual. If you look in the red box you will see that the input wire is on different harnesses. Did you swap the PCM out for an ECU?
Ok. It now makes sense. Your PCM is currently sending its vehicle speed signal to the cluster as it should. However, its not receiving a speed signal to send because the output speed sensor no longer exists. So the vehicle speed sensor is sending a signal to the PCM which does not know how to interpret it. You need to switch to an ECU and then switch the pin on the harness for the vehicle speed sensor signal to be interpreted and passed on to the cluster. Swapping the PCM out for an ECU is necessity when performing a 5-speed trans swap.
