I had the same problem with my OZ, every time that i engage the clutch it would make a weird noise and it turned out to be the throw out bearing.

Just FYI, a noise with clutch pedal in is the TOB.

A noise while in gear or netural with the clutch pedal up is the Input Shaft Bearing.

You have to remove the extension housing, remove the 5th gear shift fork, pull the 5th gear synchro assembly and 5th gear off using a gear puller. Remove the axle nut looking thing using a holding tool and breaker bar (not an impact gun). Then you can separate the transaxle case from the bell housing. The main shaft if i remember is held with a snap ring behind the input bearing.

Replace and reassemble. Use only Anaerobic sealant to reseal the case, never RTV! I believe Loctite 518 is preferred.

Good luck!
