CVT Performance?
if your cvt doesn't have a external cooler to begin with you can not add the rrm cooler. unless you want to cut hard lines. there is a difference between a de/es and gts from 2008. http://9glancers.com/index.php/topic,13807.0.html
i don't know if you can see the pictures but the first pic shows the de cvt that only has 2 lines that go to the cvt its slef coming out of the internal. the second pic shows the same de cvt with a new gts internal cool that has 4 lines coming out of it which include the inlet and return for the external cooler that all gts cvts have. some of the 09 de/es don't have the internal cooler that has the extra lines for the external cooler. an easy way to check is to remove your driver side fog light cover and see if there is anything there that looks like a small radiator/cooler. and having 4 coolers may also require another pump since you'll be moving more oil through more cooler.
edit. i got these pics from 9g by a member named crx90si, all credit goes to him. he was able to adapt an external cooler using the internal cooler from an 08 gts.
the pics title dsc4351c2 is his his 2008 de internal cvt cooler before the mod. some of the 09 de/es's like mine have this one.
the pic titled dsc4360q is also his 2008 cvt but with a gts internal cooler. you can see the difference with the 2 extra lines heading for the drive side fender well. crx90si used a hayden 678 cooler and added a 9in universal fan and wired it to the radiator fan. the cooler on amazon cost $60 fyi

But my question is...can i use the mishimoto tranny cooler or any tranny cooler and pass the coolant through it before it goes into the tranny..?
i.e take out the line connect it to the cooler an from the cooler to the tranny..is that possible or a wise ting to do..?
