So I just snapped an axle earlier and have some questions about my new one I need to buy. First off, are the axles the same regardless of transmission? Two, are the axles the same between all the base models regardless of year(02-06) or trim(es,ls,oz)? And third, and Im sure this is a no, but will a mirage axle fit the lancer (i didnt see anything in the mirage compatibility thread but felt the need to ask anyways)? Info regarding my car, 02 oz rally. Thank you guys.

 

you have to get one from a lancer trans i believe because i think others have different splines, but i do know that the trans from an 04 works perfect with my 03 same splines throughout.

Ok thanks. Ive called around and talked to some people local around here and they said all base models are the same axles, auto or manual didnt make a difference, and that the axles were compatible from 02-07. This all with the exception of the ralliart of course. But i forgot to compare axle part numbers from a mirage to a lancer which im sure wont fit anyways. But thank you for your answer JRR. Much appreciated.
