Energry Suspension
Energry Suspension
Hey guys, I have just bought a short shifter for my car from ebay.. as everybody has recommended and said it's good
Now, I know changing the bushings would actually make it smoother...
I have checked on energy suspension website, they don't hav any bushings for Lancer... only eclipse...
Anybody know if eclipse's bushings are the same as the Lancer??
Or maybe I can just use the stock bushings??
Also, anybody have any how-tos on changing the short shifter??
thanks in advance

The Lancer uses the same (or similar) shifter as the Eclipse and the Evo, so the bushings should be the same. Make sure they are for the shifter and not suspension parts. As for installation, there are a lot of steps, but they're almost all simple.
The one drawback to buying ebay products is the lack of instructions. Maybe I should scan the instructions for my shifter, suspension, and intake and sell them online, making them end at the same time as similar products
Hey, you never know. But since you're a forums, you can have a member discount, I'll see if I can find the B&M instructions and scan them or something.

btw, just one tip, take 4 cups and use them to put all the screws you have to remove, keeping them in different cups for different stages (2 for the center console parts, and 2 for the shifter). And try to keep them together in the order they were on (i.e. bolt, washer, lock washer, nut). And be careful removing the nylon cups (you probably have to put them onto the new shifter) Everything after that should be self explanitory. I'll still see if I can find the B&M instructions and post them here some time.
