lancer trans and turbo's

ok so this kinda goes along with my other 2 thrads and some numerous posts about it.

i think that i may have done more damage to my trans than just snapping my release fork. when i shift into "first" ot feels mor like 3rd, 3rd seems fine, and 5th well i never got to try it and i wasnt gonna basically since i was just going around the block testing.

then the other thing is that i dont have 2nd, 4th, or reverse. it seems like it goes half way in but then i will not engage.

how does one go about adjusting the shifter linkages, or do i just get another trans?

also does anyone know how high our trans's are rated to hp wise? the fist one i had (the original) lasted 125k and 25k of that was turbo. this one now lasted a total of about 85k(60k on it when i bought it) and 25k turboed.

has anyone else had problems like this?

I have 179k miles on my transmission, 100k of which has been with a turbo. It's pretty much one of the few original parts I have left in my engine bay.

I'm guessing that you don't have your shift levers lined up correctly on the trans. Can you manually move the levers into all the gears with (or without) the linkage attached? Since you're missing 2nd, 4th and reverse I'm guessing that one of the gearshift shafts isn't installed/attached correctly.

i can (i believe) without the cables, because i tried that today, well at least in first. the thing that seems to be really messing with things is this piece. it seems to want to twist on the smaller rod and then get stuck and cause it not to fully shift into the gears where then you have to finess it to get it in.

im assuming to know for sure id have to drop the trans again and pull it off of the bell housing to know, right?
