Car is a '02 Lancer OZ with a 5sp with 65k miles.

I have been having some issues with my transmission. When i get on then off of the gas it bangs and jerks. It is a manual transmission. I, at first, thought it was the engine mounts and i replaced them but the problem is still there. When i pull out with the wheels turned it skips as if the tires are on rocks then catches. Im thinking its the diff and/or the input shaft to the transmission. I have heard on here that the input shaft bearing goes on some cars. The car was turbo charged for about a year and was run down the strip a few times.

Any ideas? Should i get a new tranny? Is the car worth it?

I have similar issues, is this when the car is running at low rpms. say 2.5k or less? Mine does it under 2.5k, but if I run the car at 3k it never bangs or jerks. Its a weird problem i am trying to troubleshoot myself at the moment.

 

no its all the time. im pretty sure the diff is shot. just wondering if anyone else had the same issues
