transmission removal
ok its second time i have pulled my motor out and my clutch gave up on me. I have new exedy kit waiting to be put in.
I know it would be easier just to take the whole motor out together with a tranny, but I have no acess to a cherrypicker right now. So you guys just lower the engine a bit with a jack to make some clearance for tranny to slide out? What do you use to support the tranny and lower it down? Tranny jack? I think I can get it out with the help of my brother and help of my second car jack, but that thng is too damn heavy to lift by hand and put it back in... Any input would be apreciated, I wanna save $600 and do it my self

I wouldnt pull the engine just for a clutch anyways that's a lot more work. You need extra hands and it's not that heavy. take out the tranny motor mount and the front motor mount so you get a better angle, pop the throw out bearing loose, unbolt, pull off. Use a regular floor jack with some padding on it to help ease it down. You'll need help getting it back in.
