ok then i see no reason why a manual and auto aren't interchangeable.... don't a few of the lancer owners with auto have evo clusters?

I emailed slater, but I will ask it here as well; how does one mount the clutch pedal? I see that two bolts mount to the master cylinder bolts, but there are two other slots that are supposed to bolt straight up, but the bracket is not there for the auto, what did everyone else do?

Thanks,
Alex

You guys do realize autos are worth a little bit more than manuals. Just trade someone.

Get a manual tranny, manual shift holder with cables drill a few holes and weld holders for the cables and that's it but drilling holes in the firewall won't be easy. Trust me you auto guys can trade straight up with a manual because no one wants a manual car because there lazy

We have a SRS issue. We are in the assembelly stage. We have parts from a 2006 donor car, but our car is a 2003. The 2006 had smart air bags and the 2003 doesn't. Do we just need a 2003 harness or is there a trick to make it all work?

aren't the 04-06 manuals different slightly from the 02-03 versions.... something to do with the internals or whatever?

02-03 have internal slave cylinders, while the 04-06 have external slave cylinders

thats what i thought. with that said is there any major differences that would cause for 'additional' modification in doing this swap, as oppose to using a same year tranny?
