Does anybody know if the bellhousing on 5M gearbox is the same for bolting up to 4B11 and to 4B12 or different? I assume that 5-Speed manual gearbox is the same for both applications.

 

i dont know it this answers ur question but i did a 4b12 swap and i isued my 4b11 mt trany on it , no issues

 

Thanks. This helps a lot, as I'm planning to rebuil a used 4B11t and swap it in place of my stock 4B12 with manual trans in a year or maybe two.

 

I was thinking about that too but... Im runing 12 psi on my stock 4b12 for like another $2k i can get wiseco custom made pistons and rings and sleeve it. By doing that u will hae a better engine off boost and u can handle 16-17 psi with no problem. Dont forget that u can go super hp cuz it will be over kill for our fwd lol, im prob around 250 hp and an lsd is much needed unless , its really hard to trAnsfer all that hp to the pavement.
I did my research and a long block 4b11t runs around 3k just think about it, u already have the 4b12 better get the best bang for ur buck
