Manual transaxle removal
Hello guys, I could use some tips. 2002 OZ: Slave cylinder took a dump, and I need to remove the transaxle to replace the cylinder, and while I am in there, all the other moving parts. I would like to know(from you who have done this numerous times) what tricks or tips you normally use\watch out for when performing this task. I have fair skills when turning wrenches, however, this is my first FWD transmission pull. Thank you in advance,

What steps are you confused on? Ive pulled mine several times I first unhook everything up top that will be in my way of course like intake piping airbox etc. Then I remove the shift linkage, hydraulic line to the slave and electrical connectors. Next I go and disconnect the two bolts on the hub knuckle from the shock and take the big nut holding the drivelines in. Remember to unbolt the brakeline from the backside of the shock to give you enough length to swing the hub knuckle out to pull the driveline spline out of the center of the hub. You will need some type of pry bar to disconnect the axles from the inside of the trans there is a clips holding it in you just have to pry it out to slip it past the keeper.
Oh yeah drain the trans before removing those axles lol. After that get something to support the trans and engine then remove the 3 mounts holding it then the bellhousing bolts and slide it out and down slowly
