I'm in the middle of tearing down the trans out of my 05 lancer right now. i was having a bad sound that i concluded to be a bad shaft bearing. so far i'm having a hell of a time separating the casing.

I was also curious if a 02-03 lancer MT throwout bearing would work in my 05 trans? Since i do have the 16g turbo my slave is still somewhat in the way even tho i already have a solution.

ok well i finally got the case apart. had to remove the black plug on the back and loosen the clip to let the output shaft come loose.

looks like i have some bad wear on the inside of the case :/ im guessing whatever caused the noise i was getting caused this as well.

Ouch that looks pretty beat up, you going to try and fix this one up or find a replacement?

Do you guys know the part number for this seal and where to find it I can't find one I've been given two different seals from Oriellys but they weren't the right ones. Thanks in advance!

If you pm me a VIN I can look it up in ASA.
Rock Auto lists the same input shaft seal for the 2003 Lancer OZ Rally and the 2006 Lancer Ralliart.
Assuming that to be correct then the part number is MD741818.

i don't see why they would be different...they both use the same gear box, ratios and bell housings are different but the input shaft diameter and spline count should be the same....
