I've never pre-bled, and never had any problems...did your clutch kit not come with a slave cylinder? when I did my clutch, I used the OEM exedy clutch kit and it comes with the slave.

I don't remember, sorry, and it should have been lubricated during assembly, there should be no need to pre-bleed it.

what should have been lubricated during assembly? the slave itself? how would I do that?

So I have the factory service manual, but I swear, it leaves a lot to be desired. Ia lot of the section say key points, but seem to be missing info on what you have to do to get it that way.......

yes the piston in the slave should be lubed pre-assembly, you don't need to do anything...I've never had any problems with my copy of the service manual...could you give me an example, and i'll take a look.

ok, so was I supposed to lube the piston in there? or is that just part of buying a new unit?

I am trying to make sure that I am doing everything right to make sure if it is me, that I don't screw it up again......

so, They refunded me $65, now I just need to find a new slave.....

I saw one on ebay for $49.98 shipped, I know it isn't OEM, but honestly, it was probably the same thing as the rest of the ones that are not OEM

OEM can be had for about $130 shipped

should I just go ahead and order the one for $49.98?

so remember I said it had a leak, found out why today, hopefully this is something I can fix, or minimize...... it is a littel difficult to see, but the issue is that someone went through the mating edge to pop out the plug, instead of going through the plug, like they were supposed to

the wrecker sent me an oem plug today

so what is a little weird, is it looks like there is a corresponding dent like that on the plug that was in there, like it stuck out, and the builder hit it in the rest of the way with a screwdriver....

Ok, so looking @ it again, it looks as if maybe the builder reused the plug, popped it out with a screwdriver from the side to rebuild it, then put it back in

you can clearly see it was a little warped from my hole through the center, but you can also see what appears to be a screwdriver smack on the side, which might correspond to the side of the hole in the tranny seat

Looks like they did reuse it. I'm sure some sealer like Hondabond or RTV can fix it. Put a little on the edge. The plug looks big enough to use a sealer. A high temp sealant might be better but I'm sure a regular one would work as well.
