grill rattle
grill rattle
well my grill rattles at idle and i dont know how to fix it. my engine idles a lil rough but not really. so any ides on how to fix this? i changed the spark plugs and did an oil change and reset my ecu but its still there.
Is it something as simple as you missing a nut on the grill or the grill not being seated completely? If that's not the problem then maybe try getting a can of injector cleaner to help with your idle situation.
I dont think its the grille dude. Mine does that occasionally too. It could be a couple of things. #1- The hood latch,Try screwing those little rubber bumpers up on the front of the engine compartment. This will create a little spring back on the hood when u close it, putting a slight enuff tension on the latch to reduce rattles.#2- Check your rear engine mount< best access is under the car reeely close to the steering rack. It's mounted to a cast aluminum bracket, witch breaks easily if you are a constant high rpm shifter.<who here isnt> Mitsubishi should have foreseen this problem and fixed this problem. Anyways after mine broke twice, i manufactured a bracket from steel myself, but im sure u can find a better than oem bracket somewhere. If thats the source of your vib prob GOOD LUCK. Its a pain to remove becuase of accessabity issues. Oh yeah and have fun lining the bolts back up to install. P.S. Keep the cars engine in the same place after removal.
Mine rattles sometimes too!!! When it's cold outside and I rev up from 1000rpm to 3200rpm and when the rpm will start dropping back to 1000rpm something from the front makes a weird sound!
