help is it safe??

well once again i need some help... i found a broken bolt.. its the tensioner or something like that but heres a pic of wat im talking bout....... i dunno when it broke off i just found out today... i knoe it didnt break off when i change my alternator belt recently..... my belt started squeaking so i was gonna tighten it.. but found the nut broke off.... weird...... anyway can any1 help out with the part # thanks again..... also is it safe to drive around like that????

hmmmm no one can help???? or can sumone tell me which bolt to tighten the tension of the alternator belt???? sumone please help

it will not blow your motor. it is just a tensioner. i wouldn't drive it because the belts could break and you could break the alternator if it came loose. i don't know the part number but if you go to the dealerships and show them the same diagram they could het it for you.

the part number isn't just the bolt, it's the bracket as well.

As long as you don't loosen the nut that locks the alternator in place it wont be an issue. That bolt just brings the tension up to where you want it and then you lock it down with the one on the side which relieves the tensioner of its duty.
