Question skipping

I've had this problem for a few months now that when I GIT on the gas, the engine will start to climb rpm's and then it will intermitanly skip or miss. Happens only in upper (3k +) rpms and never in the same spot. Pick a gear cause it does it in all of them. Only happens when accelerating, nothing odd at idle, or when maintaining constant speed. It doesn't do it during normal driving, just when I get on it.
No!!! it's not the:
Plugs
Wires
gas in the tank
fuel filter
Throttle body being dirty

I've checked all the above and used a bottle of total fuel system cleaner, I've even thought it was the RRM Piggy back so I took that off as well. Oil has been changed regularly. I checked all vacuum hoses and no leaks. It's not the clutch cause I got no problems with a decent launch. I'm out of ideas so anybody got any? BTW: got about 47K miles. Little early for a timing belt??

sounds similar to a problem on a bimmer I had, check the pressure in your fuel system, might be the fuel pump going out. If the timing belt went out, or skipped a few teeth, it would effect every RPM range

Unhappy

Just noticed that since being on here from back in the day, almost 3 yrs, and having checked the forums weekly, I'm still a noob, cause I don't post.
Ain't that a B@tch. Sorry for the OT.
