Help! B&M adjustable short shifter install problem

I wanted to do a short install but it didn't work. I wanted to know if the blue aluminum pivot is suppose to slide with ease onto the shifter? The reason why I am asking is because mine doesn't go down the shifter.
The stopping point is somewhat around the bend. Can some please help me out.
because I am thinking I am just going to grind the pivot out and make the whole a little wider.

The instructions are pretty good. Here they are: https://www.evolutionm.net/features/...vomfeatures/42

Has anyone else experienced this?

The blue ball (pivot) isn't sliding down the shifter.

The ball is supposed to be here, Where are you having trouble? Are you saying you can't get the little ball past the bend?

heat up the blue ball in the oven and it will expand.... 350 degrees for about 10 minutes and you are on your way.l

I'll try that. Thanks for the advice. Any other solutions, because I won't work on it until next weekend.
