Help ESL On

Ok i looked for this in the posts and i couldnt find nething (i might have skipped it). neway this is my prob my engine service light is on and i know it could be multiple things but b4 i take it to the shop a few friends recommended this, they say sometimes every 4000 miles the light comes on to let you know that you need to get and oil change and when you take it to the dealer just remind them to hit a reset switch or something to make it go away. I change oil my self last week and there are no leaks, check everything i could the car is running fine so i wanna check this 1st. So does NE1 know were this swich or button could be instead of me taking it in to shop were i have to pay money. Thank you all and its a 2002 lancer 0z rally auto trans. Thank you again
