4G93 and P0401?
Quick question, I am going to clean my whole intake manifold so I will remove the whole thing and clean every crevices. I know there will be lots of connections but I was wondering about any recalibration of the throttle body once it's been put back in? How about protecting any probes that I might accidentally spray with the carb cleaner?
attach the vacuum hose to the egr valve and plug up the other hose. when you apply some vacuum, the car will want to feel like dying. then you know the egr valve is okay. if it doesn't want to feel like dying, then your valve is dirty and either needs to be cleaned or replaced.
resistance of the two terminals of the egr valve circuit should be 29-35 ohms in 68 degree weather. the egr valve circuit is the one closest to the egr and hooked up to it by a vacuum hose.
you could probably check all the hoses enroute to the egr valve. take em all out and blow through them. make sure they seal on all the fittings nicely.
you could also have a faulty manifold differential pressure sensor. the gray wire on the end should read 4.8-5.2 volts. black is your ground. the green-white wire should be more around 4v but less than 4.6v.
