I was talking to my dad about this and he said that there is so much electronic stuff in engines now that it is hard to tell. If it is an option take it to the dealer asap (b4 more damage occurs, if any) Could just be electrical.

does it happen when the engine is cold? if your fluid level is low, it may take time for it to expand and give you a normal tranny function. most probably your fluid is below. try filling it up with the correct transmission fluid and see if there is any change. it has to be a diamond brand tranny fluid. sometimes those aftermarket fluids give you problems.

From the sound of it, it may just be you. If you're throttling it, the tranny is going to have to absorb that surge and then start to get the wheels going. Most automatics in general (at least to me) don't like pedal down to the floor antics since they don't offer the response necessary.

One last thing, if going to your dealer is an option tell them to write in your file that you may possibly have a tranny problem. If later on it does end up breaking, and youre warrenty is out, they might cover it becuase the problem started b4 it broke.

just a thought.

i sometimes have the same problem as you with my auto tranny. i think it is just the cold fluid gives less response... once my car warms up it goes away. but on cold mornings, it seems to delay in a gear, like 2nd, before shifting into 3rd. i had an old blazer that did the same thing when it was cold, even when the tranny fluid was full.

I have the same problem with mine NOW didn't have it till I got my exchaust put on and come to find out I have a leak in my exhaust which we think might be the problem or maybe it's just the AT fluid problem. Also for the right fluid you should be able to check your user manual in the back in the specs section and it should tell you what it takes.
