What do you guys think-Please read

Ok ive gotten pretty much all my other problems I have talked about fixed but I still have one problem which is my gas mileage. Ive had a comparable to stock muffler put back on. Ive changed spark plugs, air filter out so everything should help my mileage. So is there anything else that could be a problem. Ive lost about 40 miles to a full tank of gas. I thought about chaing out the 02 sensor located by the downpipe but im not getting a SES light so I dont think it could be bad but could it be bad and not send a signal to the ecu.

Thanks in advance.

how many miles to a tank do you get right now?
i'm getting about 400 miles to 11 gallons on average.
That's about 36 mpg.

What about you?
I'd say to gap your spark plugs to .039 to .040.

What RPM's do you shift at?
Do you get on it hard or do you just drive like grandma?

I drive like grandma cause cops know my car and I can't do anything without being pulled over. (reason being, I used to date the chiefs daughter and he doesn't like me).

I'm shifting around 3-4000 and I cruise at 67 miles per hour on highway in fifth gear.

Hope that helps.

edit: Oh yeah, take any extra weight out of your car. Roughly 200 extra pounds = 1 less mpg.

if you sit in traffic a lot, try turning off the car anytime you're gonna sit more than 30 seconds. It may be a little harder on the car, but at least the car would already be warm and it takes less fuel to start a car than it does to sit in traffic.

if you're pulling up to a red light and you know its on a timer and its about to change, instead of pulling up and stopping dead, ease up to the intersection and try and time it so the car is moving still when it turns green. It saves fuel to get moving if you're already moving than to start from a stop.

I get anywhere between 325-350 miles per tank, depending on my driving style. I would say around 350 miles to a tank is about average for 11 gal of gas, that would be roughly 32mpg on the highway, which is where I do most of my driving, but when not on the highway I beat on it street racing Honda's, and when on the highway I usually drive between 70-80mph. I would say anything above 325 miles per tank is normal, or should I say average?

im not sure of anything else to do to get your gas mileage up. if the ses light was on, then i would say that is your problem, because in limp mode it runs really rich. im not sure of anything else that you can do to fix that problem. are you running regular unleaded or premium? i've heard that if you run premium without a tuned fuel computer it wont burn all gas, therefore making for wasted gas and less gas mileage.

I drive an auto so no shifting necessary. Ive taken out all extra weight out of my car. Im getting aroud 240 miles to a full tank which is about 22-23 mpg. So if either of the o2 sensors were out would I get an ses light.

yes if your o2 sensors were out you should deifnitely get one, unless your ses light bulb burned out that is.

Is there a way to check and see if the O2 sensor is still good or see if the ses light is burned out.

if the ses light is burned out, then the computer will still have the code. if you have an OBD2 code reader then just plug it in and pull the code, if not, go to an advance auto or autozone and they will do the same thing and print you out a sheet telling the code and problem.
