GURUS HELP! Run withouit second o2 sensor????
Im installing a testpipe/header/turbo and everythings done except i cant get this ****ing o2 sensor out.. Im stripping the HELL out of the o2sensor nut.. YES i got a o2 socket and its just stripping it. I also got pblaster, wd40 and nothing works. I HAVE to get the car running by tues for vacation so I need your help PLEASE. The ONLY way I can think of (expensive) would be to call up Mitsubishi and tell them I need an o2 sensor but I dont know if it will be here by tuesday. I didnt expect this sensor to be such a problem. Im in a real bind here guys, please help me.

you do not need a sencond 02 sensor.....that is just for emissions....but im not 100% sure.....i know u need the front one cause that reads the AFR. ive been running no 2nd O2 for like 3months. although u will get a CEL but ur car will drive.

when they are being that stubborn i go and get the big crescent wrench. Usually the 12" or bigger. Then i use that and push with my legs to free it up.
If you want unplug it from inside the car... pull the grommet out... then remove the whole thing and get it on a workbench. There you'll be able to vice the cat and get a good wrench on it... if it's really stripped you'll probably need a good pipe wrench.

^^^100% no problems running w/out the aftercat O2. Except for the SES light being on.
Don't know how you stripped it even with a socket but try a pipe wrench on the nut side.
If it's still tight coming out. Try working it back and forth. Try not to strip the threads on the pipe or the O2.
Good luck

Well, I tried everything to get this o2 out.. No luck, I finally said **** it before i strip the whole thing.. I hooked up RRMs custom downpipe that connects to the wastegate, rrm test pipe and traded my greddy evo exhaust for greenpsychos magnaflow.. EVERYTHING works amazing, the sound of everything together puts a smile on my face.. The whole stock dp/cat is off and im bringing it to a local shop and asking them to get it off and ill just plug it in w/my perrin o2 simulator tomorrow.. All I gotta say is this RRM stage 1 kit is QUALITY.. WENT on PERFECT and i am not hearing any exhaust leaks, idles perfect, vac is perfectly at -20 when at idle. Hey Boe or any other guru, Why wont my kaminari front bumper (the passenger side) fit over the intercooler pipe? My last resort is cutting the inside of the bumper to give the piping some more space... ideas?? I know people have this kit with the kaminari body kit and works. Let me know.
THANK FOR RESPONDING GUYS

Yeah i got back to you in the pm... basically you just have to put that pipe in first and tighten in the headlight.
As far as the kit goes... everyone i've seen had to trim them a little around those pipes. They did it with circular cutouts so in pics/person it looks like it was meant to be.
