Need help quick.....cant get o2 sensor out

I am putting in a hfc right now, and I CAN NOT get the o2 sensor out.. I have had it soaking in pb baster for hours, its pretty much stripped now, and it WILL NOT COME OUT..... anyone have any ideas? Also, since I now will need a new one whether I get it out or not, where do I disconnect it? It looks like it is just wired straight into the car, I cant find where the connector is....... Can someone please help me? Im frustrated as hell right now........................
thanks

use some vice grips. it unplugs from the bottom of the car. just pulled out the rubber cover that you see the wire going through, and pull it down. you should see the end of the wire, where it plugs into another harness.

mine was cross threaded from the factory, I just used an 02 sensor socket and a really big braker bar to get it off. The conector is underneath the passanger seats under the carpet. There will be two little flaps cut in the carpet, thw flap closer to the driver, if you pull it back you will see the cord, just follow it to the plug.

Even though mine was stripped from the factory, after I got it out I just threaded it into a spark plug non fouler which I had drilled out, no I just unthread the non fouler if I need to get the sensor out.

DONT USE VICE GRIPS. Get an 02 sensor socket and be smart.

unplug the 02 sensor (see posts above about how to unplug), and then take the 02 sensor and exhaust pipe out as a unit, put it on the bench and work from there. It'll be a lot easier to get the stripped out 02 sensor to unscrew on the bench than it will be under the car. Stainless on stainless galls easily. Your threads are toast, and that's why it won't unscrew. PB isn't going to help. The only way at this point is to muscle it out.

I muscled mine out when i replaced the turbo outlet housing with a helix unit. Took the entire hotside off the turbo by taking off the downpipe, lower bracket near the downpip, took off exhaust manifold, and hotside clamp.

A couple of gentle wacks, yes gently, on the hotside should dislodge the unit.

Far as the plug in point if i remember correctly, my memory sucks btw, the harness was under the spark plug cover. Remove the four screws and it should be on the very left hand side facing the front of the car attached to a small metal bracket.

Cool thanks for the help, it was really, well, helpful...anyway, I took it all out and got the sensor off, and it was the same story as some of your guys. Cross threaded from the factory.... Im gonna try and thread it into a non fouler, but if not looks like Ill just get new one.... even though Id rather use this one and get a new one to throw on the stock cat if I ever need warranty work....
anyway, thanks again, you guys are the sh-it

Ok, after that, I couldnt get the god damn plug out of my IP. Hit it with a torch, and got it out finally. And threw my o2 sensor in there in a non fouler..... Did the trick, no cel, got my stuff installed an I LOVE IT...... Now I just feel like a crackhead, trying to get the money together for a flash............................................. ...
