IM install gone really really wrong
Hey, here is the How-To I used to install my ported IM. Check the pics and hopefully they'll be able to help with your problem. Sorry to hear about the trouble - that really bites

also for you guys that are having problems... you have to let your ecu relearn the idle settings from the mods... you need to let your car sit and idle a few mins after you have the battery unpluged for an extended amount of time, or else it doesnt have enough time to learn the idle and will die a few times when you stop before it learns. Hope that makes sense
It's cranking but it won't run? That bent tube that goes to the fpr... could it have fried your fuel pump? If the fuel had a hard time getting to the fuel rail, the ECU would have sent more voltage to the pump to get the right amount of fuel, and could have fried it???

The car's getting more than enough fuel, as evident by the full fuel rail on both the install and uninstall. Only thing I can possibly think of is I put the hoses on wrong, but I can't find a good pictures of all the hoses on here, only the ones I know I did right. The main one I'm concerned about is the hose with the 90 degree angle at the end that hooks up near the black plug.
The hoses are easy- they pretty much only have enough length to go where they belong.
Did you remember to plug your ECU back in? Seriously, I've forgotten a couple times (when I just needed to move my huge filter for something underneath or around it). Double check throtle position sensors, and the coolant sensor that's on the bottom of the TB.
The pressure sensor on top of the IM.
All the little hoses and sensors on the plate that goes on the front of the IM
Didj'a plug the injectors back in
Didja plug in all the harnesses you disconnected to get the wire bundle out of your way so you could do the IM install? maybe a couple on the crank side, and the cam angle sensor?
If it was just a vacuum hose, you'd still be able to start it, but it woudl run like crap and you'd hear the leak. If it was a coolant or fuel line you'd have already known and this thread would be "I'm a retard for not reinstalling that coolant line and I HATE coolant!"
I'm betting it's electrical

I didn't touch the throttlebody apart from removing the 4 bolts since I already installed the bored out one earlier this year, so thats one thing out of the way. I just got a call from the mechanic who's looking at it and apparently its flooding like all hell, the pressure sensor on the top is cracked at the point where it mounts closest to the actual car, but when I looked at it it just looked superficial, it seemed that the actual sensor was fun only the mounting hole was damaged.
so your mechanic thinks it's the sensor on top of the IM (Mass Air Pressure, IIRC)? Can he fix it (epoxy?) cause it sounds like it's just a cracked mount. If not, lemme know 'cause I think I have an extra one I'll let go for cheap.

He's not sure quite yet, could the pressure sensor being messed up result in something like that? It sucks being in Canada, if I was below the border I'd just buy the sensor for the sake of simplicity but it would take over a week for it to reach me and university starts soon.

Ok I talked to my mechanic again and he's gonna replace the sensor and my spark plugs, they were so soaked in fuel that there is no way they're going to spark again.
Do this really quickly go out side and make sure your EGR is hooked up and the vacum line on top is connected. Also to help diagnose this problem and avoid costly guesses does the car run and not idle? or does it not run at all? It sounds to me like several things but I cant tell you for sure unless I know exactlyy how the car works now....

I don't have the car, it's at the mechanic. It doesn't run at all, no sputtering, just nothing, it tries and tries but no dice. As for whether my EGR is hooked up, I'd assume so, but I'm not 100% sure which the EGR is since I'm not much of a gear head.
It's not any of the EGR stuff- it's electrical. Like I've said, I've left almost every vacuum hose off of the IM or engine at one time or another and the car will start.... it'll run like crap but will start. and if there's a problem (insufficient exhaust gas recirc, for example) you get a CEL, which you -didn't- get IIRC.
Good luck with the mechanic, sounds like he knows what's up. Keep us posted.
