i need some electrical help....quick.

well guys..

the good news is i bought an optima red top! yay for pete.

bad news, my friend (supposedly electricaly savvy.) wired it wrong (positive to negative and vise versa... and tryed to turn it on.

thus, destroying my car! lol

ok no, he blew this fuse looking thing on my postivie battery terminal

so i was like wtf and walked over... and i slapped him and wired it myself... switching it, and it didnt work, so i looked again and notices the fuse was ****ed...

now it seems to abe a self contained fuse.. its all one, and thus cannot be replaced without replacing it all... so i went to autozone and asked and they said ur crazy, theres no such thing, so i was like ok, ur redicuus... and walked to mitsu dealership... and i ordered one for 20 bucks... it will be here n a couple daysm and now i wait... my idea is as follows.. as i have an IMPORTANT appoinmnet with rock tommorow.. would it be possible to just use a couple battery terminals that i picked up from circuit city, and wire it till the fuse thing gets here... anyone have any thoughts.????

can someone help me out..

heres some pics of the problem?

thanks guys.

****, I dunno what to tell ya bruh. Did any of the other fuses go out? Kinda the reason why I returned mine at first glance when I popped the hood and looked at the terminals.

Bump for pete.

Yup. That's pretty much it. I ended up getting a Diehard battery instead.

NO WAYS!!! The Optima battery is a way better battery for starting, sounds, and overall reliability. And about your problem with your blown fuse. You can wire in a new terminal for the time being, but if something goes wrong with your electrical, just hope that one of the other fuses go and stops the power or else your car will be even more F*cked.
Good luck

If u didnt fix it yet a temp fix is to take the fuse out and attach the wire at the end of the fuse directly to the battery (Might have to bore out the connector hole on the wire a little) it happened to me when i was putting my CAI in and the metal piping tough the fuse and BOOM bye bye fuse.
(FYI the fuse is for the alternator so without it ul just drain the new battery)
