Idle Problem

I have had a problem with the idle with the v2 piggyback and i want to raise it a little bit to have less rough of an idle but when i seem to turn the screw in the throttle body, the idle doesnt seem to change and when i try adjusting the idle by using the nut and screw on the throttle cable, it raises the idle but the car will start misfiring. any body have any ideas why it is doing this and what is the proper way to raise the idle? thanks.

Are you positive that all of your connections are secure? Did you go through the learning stage properly?

I would say try disconnecting the piggy. See if the idle problem is caused by it. If it is re-connect the unit and start over.

For the wires that get spliced in try stripping a section in the wire about 1/4 of an inch long. then instead of wrapping the piggy wires around it, get a ball point pen and push it through the center of the wire where you spliced it creating a small hole between the wires in the bundle. Then put the piggy backs wires through there and wrap them tight and then solder it.

Go through all the learning stages again and see if that fixed the problem.

If you are still having troubles contact RRM. They are very good at helping customers out. Just work through all the stuff you can try on your own first.
