Commonly, the CEL caused by an aftermarket header can be fixed with an CEL eliminator. Score one from ILP in the vendor page and call it good.

Ironically enough, my CEL hasn't cut on yet, and I've been running my header for 3 weeks now. Granted, I put my 2nd cat back on, but I didn't think that made a difference since that sensor is BEFORE the cat.

After having read the problem again:

The second sensor having high voltage makes you run rich? Seems odd to me, but I guess it makes some sense (I'm guessing since it isn't getting a high enough reading it thinks you're leaned out and it's richening up the AFR).

Anyway, I'm guessing something's wrong with the resistor(s) in your mil eliminator.

Wow, I totally missed the fact that you already had the fix from ILP. Lemme go wake up now.

I would have blair send me another mil fix, just in case there is a problem with the resistors on the one that was sent with your headers. I agree with Hobie, that is the most logical scenario.

edit: if you know what the voltage should be, you can always use a multimeter to test the resistor(s).

You could also take a good resistor and wire it in line with the one(s) already there. I dunno how RMR makes theirs, but if they're like ILP's you should be able to just splice the wire and daisy chain resistors to your heart's content.

Most likely it was just damaged or something.

hmmmm..... are you using a test pipe with no cats or do you have a cat installed? If you have a cat I don't think you need the cel fix (someone please correct me if I'm wrong here). The cel fix should only be needed if you have no cat.

It's because of his header. It removes the 1st cat (pre-cat) that's stock in our exhaust manifold, and our 2nd O2 sensor is BEFORE the second cat. By removing the pre-cat both he's getting the same voltage reading from both sensors so the ECU tosses the CEL.
