trouble removing badges

I removed the "LANCER" badges off the trunk of my car, but now I'm having some trouble. What's left is a small raised outline of the letters that I can't remove. I was going to use some goo-gone stuff, but I fear I messed up my clear coat with it before. There are a lot of streaks going vertically above and below the letters in the direction I rubbed them off. Is this really glue that I spread on my car (hopefully) or is this a sign I ****ed up my paint? Should I just throw on some more goo-gone and hope for the best?

Goo gone for the sticky residue and the outline is probaly from wax buildup or dirt or something. Take rubbing compound to it.

make sure you wash that area after you use Goo Gone. that stuff eats paint.

I thought rubbing compound just blends scratches into the paint to begin less noticeable (or something like that). I didn't kow it could actually help remove the stuff off my car

Goo Gone takes the stuff off the car. Rubbing compound will even out the paint surface around the letters if it is a wax or dirt build up that left an outline.
