Startup problems...

Okay first off my list of mods...
- AEM Cold Air Intake
- RRM Headers
- RRM Piggyback V2
- DIY Grounding Kit
- 2.25" custom catback

So the problem is when i start. It starts cleanly like usual but dies right after i start it up. Sort of like when your fuel pump isn't connected. The engine doesn't choke or anything. Hope you guys can help! Thanks!

Could be the piggy or the Intake.

Is this the first time it happens to you? What did you do before this happened? When did it start happening?

We need more details.

had you been playing with the car lately?

check your MAF/MAS plug and make sure it is on snug, make sure all the wires to the piggy have good connections, and try listening for the fuel pump when you turn the car over to see if it clicks on.

Started happening right after i put the ground wires in....
Happens on rare occasions. Randomly it seems...
The weird thing is that i try to start it up and it dies, then when i start it up again, it starts perfectly normally...This is with no movement of the car whatsoever.

WHat do you mean by playing? You mean driving it really roughly? or messing with the maps?

all of the above. driving hard, messing with fuel maps, adding new mods, doing maintainence, etc. you said you just installed a ground kit? do you think that the problem could be related?

Did you install the Grounding Kit properly?

Maybe there's a slight surge or something making your car lower in idle and making it stall. That's just a theory. This is really strange... practically a guessing game!

okay another thing i noticed is that it only dies after the engine is near or at normal operating temp. Doesn't happen if the engine is cold. kinda weird ya. Ill try removing the ground kit tomorrow to see it the problem goes away.

i always drive rather hard so i dont think its that. do you think its the fuel pump dying out? or maybe a delay in the piggy, sort of like the delay that causes the studder?

I removed the grounding kit from the alternator and i haven't had any problems since. Might be due to the wiring setup i had. Changed it into a simpler one and no problems so far. *knock on wood*
