ac problem

when im driving the car the ac runs like a champ!

but when im idling/stop the ac just stops working...air still comes out but it just gets hot - i bought so r134a to fill and i put about half the bottle but im still running into the same problem'

anyone else running into this problem or know what could be wrong

i dont know man, are u recharged?it could also be the compressor.

yea it is charged now...its weird.....i just cant want til it is just a weekend car
but have to wait couple more months

Some times the berrings wear out. you can pull it out and take a look at them if they look bad replace them. When your driving the belts spin faster, perhaps enough to move the berring threw. Is there any noise from it, other than normal noise? Also your belt could be worn and just not spinning enough at low RPM try changing the belts and make sure there is enough tension on it.

I have a bad pulley and it causes that to happen. I got a new pulley but havent changed it yet.

The Evo I had did this off and on. There are two auxiliary pulleys on the car right? So you would just have to make sure you were troubleshooting the one that was powering the AC.

my AC makes funny clicking noises when im in reverse. its not a big deal, just kinda wierd.
