Sunroof won't close

I hit forward on the sunroof and it goes backward. I hit backward and it goes forward about 3 inches. I push the button in, and it continues forward, but only about 2/3rds of the way. It is as if the switch got repogrammed. Have any of you ever heard of anything like this?

Not with my car, but yes, I've had it happen. My MP3 player -- press the "decrease volume" button, and it decreases. Press the "increase volume" button, it still decreases. Press the "increase volume" button in hard and hold it, it increases slowly. Weird...

Do you think resetting the computer might help by taking the neg side of battery off for 10 sec.

I had the same problem on my evo and found the solution on a BMW forum believe it or not.

While the car is running hold the center button, the one that tilts your roof up, in for over a minute. I held mine in for two just to be safe. Then release and the problem should be fixed.

Sounds dumb but it works.
