I want to drive around w/o my hood...

Well, I gave up my hood this morning to get an Evo-style carbon fiber hood developed for the Lancer. That's the . The is that for two weeks now, I have no hood! I guess I can arrange alternate transportation for the duration of the project... but... does anyone have any ideas as to something I could use to safely and effectively cover the engine bay for 2 weeks while my hood is gone?

you can tell people that youre a hardcore tuner and all the hardcore tuners are driving around without hoods for that "hardcore tuner look"

not to mention better airflow...yeah. watch out in the rain, though

Thugs might try and steal your ****, any kind of performance mod they think might be worth $ or use on their car. Also vandalism is a factor, you know, HATERS!

there is no law that says you cant drive w\o a hood, but there is a warranty\non-warranty on factory\after-market parts, so if i were you ask for car-poolin' or mama to take you places....keep your car in a good safe area till the time comes! driving w\o your hood is taking risks!

You're only concerns are rain on the intake, which you can correct with a proper shield and vandalism from people who fool with or steal stuff from the engine compartment. I'd say that second risk is completely outweighing anything else, since if someone knows what they're doing, even only slightly, they can majorly turn your car into a serious driving risk.

Yeah, I'd be careful about vandalism. My friend's CRX can't latch the hood so he got hood pins, and someone stole the oil cap just for kicks.
