My O?Z lost a bit of torque?
Hey guys, I was wondering if someone could shed some light on a situation. My Lancer O?Z Seems to have lost a bit of torque in the first gear only from a few days ago. As soon as I shift into second, I feel the car pull strong again. It doesn't feel any slower in first, but I just don't feel the same pull I did a few days ago. It has about 2800 Km on it and I drove it very gently during the first 1000 Km. Anyone else have this problem or just be able to shed some light on it? I was thinking MAYBE a blown gasket, but after less than 3000 Km? Let me know...
if you are going by butt dyno alone, its gonna be really hard to diagnose the problem. if the check engine light isn't on, you are most likely ok. i'd recommend just taking it to the dealer for your next oil change. it'll only cost about 20 bucks, and they usually do an inspection for free. hope it works out.
Thanks guys
Much appreciated! I'm going to get them to check that in addition to the first gear. I know it's a known problem to have a loose feeling first gear, but when I had my Civic, the Honda dealership fixed my reverse gear when I was having the same sort of problem, even though it was known as well among Civics of that year. It feels as though it's going to pop out of gear at any second, and when I shift into second gear, it feels like it springs out of first. Here's hoping!
