Question Knocking noise from engine???

My 2010 ww ralliart has 4300 km's on it and I did my first oil change at 2166 km's. (full synthetic of course)
There is this small knocking noise from the engine when stopped and in park its like a tocatocatoca noise. I don't know too much about cars and I don't want to freak out just yet so I would like to have some good advise from people who have this problem or has an idea what it could be.

Thank you in advance and have a great day.

The clutch packs are disengaged when you have your foot on the brake so you are hearing the discs chatter. I bet if you took your foot off the brake and started going the noise goes away.

It does it when the car is just started I was out of the vehicle yesterday to make sure where the noise was coming from, although it was in park.

The noise is coming from the top of the engine. Also is it normal for the rpm to drop down low and come back to normal after a good rain?

You are hearing the injectors. I think Mitsubishi buys the noisiest injectors they can, and then makes them louder.

In Park with the car on the clutches will be open as well.

The injectors clicking are also pretty loud like stated above.

I thought at first it sounded like lifter tick... but injectors sounds pheasable also.

very unlikely its a lift tick. It would either be the Tranny or the Injectors. If you listen on a stock car well enough with the hood open you can hear the tranny grind.

I did not know this one. I guess I will be driving the RA more in sport mode since I only use it as a weekend car.

Thank you!
