Very Odd Sound

Hey all,

This is the only way I can describe it:

In first gear, there is nothing, but in second and up when I accelerate it sounds like water boiling, or like a coffee pot perking. I've never heard this before in any car. My engine temp is fine, no loss in power, and I thought it might be the heater coil, but the heater still works and there was no smell. When I popped the hood there was no coolant smell either. Has this happened to anyone else, I am playing with the idea it could be exhaust, but wouldn't that be a strange sound to come from exhaust? HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLPPP!!

uh oh. If i remember correctly my dads galant made this sound and it was cuz the ac was filling with water. I think there is a drainage pipe that is prolly clogged and the water is building up. Water may start pouring out of your ac vents so either read the how to on the ac drainage thing or take it to the shop. good luck!
