It closes off the return on your fuel line in porportion to the amount of boost in the intake manifold. In other words it increases fuel pressure when higher amounts of air pressure are in the intake. Well that how I see it anyway. Its cheaper than a pump and injectors for low boost applications.

Ok I have been running for a few days with thins thing installed, so it is safe to say that it has one major advantage on a NA car.
Ever since I put the stiff engine mounts on the car I have been feeling the idle like a ***** cause the motor likes to stumble with the lights and AC and stereo on.
I have suspected it was lack of gas for awhile, I tried the S-AFC to add more gas but at 1000 RPM it wasnt doing anygood. FMU to the rescue, now I have the pressure I need at all RPMs even idle. With every power accessory on the car on at the same time you can barely feel the idle through the mounts. Finally I can be satisfied with the firm Deyeme Racing mounts, just took a FMU to straighten out the idle.

I love havin' new stuff for the How To section. Hopefully someone appreciates how clean I'm keeping that forum with my Gestapo style modding.
EDIT: BTW, I'd love if you'd do the fan install too, even though I know it took a bit of bending and whatnot. Just curious if you had to extend wires, move the thermostat etc. I'm seriously considering both of these. I'm sure other people are as well.

How to with pictures is now posted in the Install foum.
BTW before anymore people PM me it is 12:1 and FMU's are universal no need for a Mitsu specific part. This one is actually advertised as a Honda/Acura FMU on ebay.
