the thing on the bottom... the mesh bag around the bottom of the pump. you need to get a code puller..... sounds to me like the cam position sensor but, no code... .no help. do you have a light on ?

you can pull it off and spray it with brake cleen to clean it. Also you can pull your valve cover and check your cam and make sure it is seated properly and nothing is wrong. We had a car here recently with that code and turned out the cam had broken off from the bolt holding it on the sensor side
your mod list would help... what kind of cams if any ?

if you look at your valve cover, on the right side front there is a little black thing in front with a wire running off it that has a circle connector on it that is grounded with a screw that points to the left. i think the wire is black and green maybe. You need to unscrew that and the single screw that holds the sensor in place....so do you have a SES light or not ? if its there, it will stay there

also check other fuses, ecu fuse, the fuel pump fuse... did you put the pump in correctly ? can you hear it whining when you first turn the key and here it priming ? did you use the rubber piece under the pump to keep the pump pushed up against the seal ? recheck your pump again as well to make sure it is still connected. Use a multimeter to check the voltage at the connector going to the pump. you should see at least 12 volts....if you dont, its your ecu or a fuse pulling votage

wipe it off yes, and spray inside the hole it came out of.... you really need to get your hands on a multimeter.
and you dont have what ? the black thing pushing up on the pump ? if not, it may not be black... there should be a rubber thing that pushes up on the bottom of your pump when you close the plastic shell around it
