Son of a B!tch lol girlfriend takes the car out for a spin. what does she say, NO WORD OF A LIE, hunny the car is doing something odd, it keeps pulling to the left on the highway or at least thats when i notice it most

lol oh ya now i am on the job.

Well first I am curious to see if its a hydralic problem, so what i am going to do is get the wheels at the front off the ground and give it gas, if it pulls to the left then there is a hydralic power steering issue.

if not well the its wheel alignment. It may be within manufacturer spec, I like DEAD STRAIGHT, but i admit I havent noticed this pull to the left, and generally living in brampton with the roads friggin lopsided to the right, I actually dont mind haha hell call it a feature.

Third if it doesnt pull at low speeds, it could be a aerodyanamic drag on the car, lol chop off the left fin behind the front wheel to balance that out lol

anyways I will get on it tomorrow, and take it to my perfered shop, before i take it to Mitsu.

I've been testing it with my car. Mind you I only have 500kms+. I notice a slight pull but it only happens 30% of the time but am gearing that being towards the road. I'm still breaking it in and haven't done above 90kms/hr though.
What I do notice is with the car going in a straight line is that the steering wheel is not centered. It is leaning slightly to the left direction. Will let you know how things are after the break in.

On another note... Am I the only unlucky one with a broken fog light?

Take it in right away, you might get it fixed by the dealer no charge, if they are nice, you might want to check with your Insurance company to see if your headlight is covered the same way your windshield is, as a comprehensive claim * not affecting your insurance

Ya i dont beleive it too, i think maybe she was just driving on the pit line that is created on the road but all the cars driving in the same spot, if she was driving to the right of the line she was in, the car might want to force to the left. i am going to check it out on a new highway section built near my house.

and I got my camera handy

Let me put it this way, even with crest in the road, the car shouldn't drift as quickly as it does. Eventually any car will, but I took the same route with a 2006 Honda Civic SI..........the SI stayed straight for a very long time with no hands. There is definitely a issue and they have even admitted it. At one point, engineering was involved with mine, but then a corporate guy comes down and says its fine..........ummmmm he's not on their side or anything, lmao, whatever. Well keep them coming guys and girls, they should be calling me this week to discuss and I'm going to throw this right in their face when they do. Thanks and lets hope this pushes them for the fix or replacements for all of us

I just rotated my tires and now it does it again..... it wasn't doing it. but I just got to 10k something miles on my car... I rotated the tires and now it does it again.. Fck.. I'm not sure if i should take it to the dealer or just go to a local guy and have them check the tires for balancing and stuff before I take it in to the dealer.. just to have a second opinion...

^^ I just rotated my tires at well. ON the thruway, I can feel it now pulling to the left dramatically and as a lefty i drive with my left dominant hand, it kills by shoulder and part of my back to hold the wheel up, I eventually switch to my right hand which is noticibally easier due to fact its easier to hold the wheel down rather then up

well i have finished my road testing and from my opinion so far, it seems to only pull slightly at high speeds and there is no pull at all at low speeds.

below 80kmph I notice nothing. its hard to find fully flat roads but the ones I have tried seem to be fine, I even drove on the wrong side of the road just to check.

Its either a power train to hydrolic force pull transfering. Or its an areodynamic drag on the car. has anyone looked under to see if anything seems odd head on?
As unlikely as it sounds.

It mostlikely seems to be something related to the stirring itself, not alignment but actually related to the powertrain.

Anyone knows which wheel is it the power goes to? left or right?

when i find a front jack I will hoist the front end up and give it full throttle and see if it pulls to the left

Ok, So I am now noticing the pull to the left. At first I thought it was the roads but now I'm sure it is the car after getting my HIDs installed the mechanic pointed out to me that the steering wheel isn't centred.

Evo soul, is this the case on yours?

I called Mitsu Canada and they said they haven't been receiving any complaints on this issue. I asked about the problem with the tinting and he said they are aware of the issue but no recall on it.. Wtf?!?

The fog light is another issue, they want a regional Mitsu Rep to check it out and take it from there.

Call and complain to Mitsu Canada!!!

For those that got the alignment/balance done by the dealer did you have to pay? I'm just shy of 1000kms. tnx

I am currently in the process of setting up an appointment for them to look at it/align it at the dealer. they were gonna do it one day when i was getting my oil changed and recall done but i brought it later in the day and they didn't have time. It will be under warranty if they can even do anything about it.

just came back from the dealership. They knew about the problem and fixed it in 20mins. To fix the pull to the left they just swapped the two front tires and to fix the offset steering wheel they had to adjust the control arm.

Is anyone else troubled that they swapped tires to fix a pull issue? What happens when you need to rotate?

I only notice it pulling to the left during acceleration, but not too much during regular use unless there is road issues (and our roads are horrible out here).
