hard gas pedal

hey guys i just realized when i was on the freeway today that my throttle body doesnt want o open all the way, i tried to put my pedal all the way on the floor and i couldnt. Does any1 know how to soften the gas pedal btw i have a 03 es a/t

hmmm........happens to me all the time.....the carpet gets in the way,lmao!! ......

but seriously i dont know...have u tightened the cable?

check the pedal line to see if it off track or maybe the tensioner on the TB is off....

b4 the new manny i open my throttle to the limit, i think is tensioner on the TB is off, how can i correct that??

loosen the 10mm bolts and adjust the TB cable--if the car is running move the cable slowly until it revs up... otherwise use one of the OBD-II tools which can do real time datalogging and it will have a screen where you can monitor throttle position... move it until you hit %99/100.

leave the rubber piece on the floor... with a tightened cable it seemed almost like you could snap the cable--or at the very least put a lot of unnecessary stress on it by slamming it without that stopper in place.

what i do is move it to the left as much as it needs to remove the play in the cable
