hey guy i did my reg oil change and put a redtop optima battery, today when i was at a red light and wanted to accelerate and it lagged for a sec and wit it, it started making a weird noise. The noise sound like a old car. do you guy think i need a timing belt done cause i didnt do it yet 67k on it or maybe a new alternator with higher out put

Has the degraded performance continued? Possible that the timing belt slipped a bit. it shoud be changed at 60K. I would check your timing and all of your battery connections.

 

If this was right after you put in the new battery, it was because the ecu was still re-learning your driving habits and it'll take some time. It'll wanna stall at idle/red lights...

 

im confused by "it sounds like an old car".. old cars make a lot of sounds..

and old is relative...

 

How old are the plugs and wires?
